Important considerations when constructing your wine cellar:
Cooling units are designed to provide a constant temperature. A wine room that is not properly constructed will cause failures throughout your wine room such as:
- Refrigeration not operating effectively, calculation mistakes (48 to 62 degrees)
- Humidity too low or too high (50% to 70%)
- Mold problems (ventilation)
- Insulation, vapor barrier, not properly sized or installed.
- Doors/windows not sealed correctly.
- Lighting installed incorrectly, letting in outside air. Wattage too high affecting the quality of the wine.
